Artwork for Pip and Chip

As a company, Pip and Chip have chosen not to use AI-generated images in their products. Their goal is to support artists and help other small businesses thrive. In January of 2025, they approached me and asked if they could license my artwork for some of their needlework accessories.

A couple of months into being "Carys Joy Cards", I painted these party birds for a set of birthday cards. "Have a honking great day!", am I right?! Well, the lovely guys over at Pip and Chip thought it would be a "honking" great idea to include these party animals on some of their products.

I started by uploading the png scans of the birds into PhotoShop to remove the backgrounds, before copying them over to illustrator to "vector-fy" them. Converting them into vectors allows the artwork to be resized without impeding upon the quality of the detailed watercolours.
