Commissioned Thank You Postcards

After the birth of their son, I was approached by Owen & Amy to design a custom thank you postcard that they could send out to their friends and family for all the gifts they were given.

I immediately had the idea to paint the below design. I asked them for a picture of them with their baby, and got to work! The design was painted using watercolours and then scanned into my printer, so that I could mass-print it out with the agreed message on the back.

I was then able to give Owen & Amy the original piece of art to frame or throw away, whatever they felt like doing with it!
