Custom Floral Wedding Design & Stationery

In 2022-2023, I created custom floral designs for wedding stationery, signage, and bits and bobs for Katie & Alex. I've known Katie literally since she was born three months after me (our mums are good friends!), so of course I was the natural choice for her creative needs! 😝

I was given a natural/woodsy theme, so I started by painting a watercolour bouquet that included roses and daisies. I actually did the roses in pink initially, but when I sent the design over to Katie, she asked for the roses to be white. With a little tonal correction manipulation, I was able to change the pinks to white! SORTED!

I then painted the wooden slab that the text would sit on, before pulling the whole design together. Katie grew up on a farm AND left the church on her brother's tractor, so I couldn't resist drawing a little Massey Ferguson for the back of the invites.

These designs were used across various materials, but I also had to recreate the flowers and wooden slab in acrylic paint on a slab of wood Katie & Alex had acquired (YIKES, no pressure!).

I also worked with the wedding cake master, Home Bakes by Rachel, to create a cake topper for the top tier of the wedding cake.

Fortunately, everything turned out great and the wedding day was beautiful! The wooden sign is now up in Katie & Alex's house and they asked me to design their thank you postcards!
